List of Novels I want to read for this year.

I, usually, have a list of novels that i keep on the lookout for and rarely, do i make a list for it. I guess having your own online site changes that. Additionally, since i have a bit more events happening around me, plus, more people in my life, this helps to keep my thoughts in context. The next time my Mother-in-law needs to know what i want, she knows where to find..........

So here goes the list.

  • The Doors of Stone by Patrick Rothfuss - Having read the first two Novels in the king killer chronicles I cannot wait for this one to release.
  • The Dead Wyrm by Miles Cameron - I read the Red Knight and Fell Sword, and this whole medieval warefare is starting to get interesting. so not going to miss this one.
  • Heir of Novorron by Michael J. Sullivan - There is something very cliche about two good buddies fighting their way through their adventures. The first time i was introduced to  buddy fantasy was through Fafhrd and Gray Mouser. I confess, this genre has not been handled well of late , that is, untill i read a theft of swords. It might be a stereotype but i am hooked on.
  • Ash and Huntress by Malinda Lo - I have been putting this one of for a while, ideally, looking for a quiet weekend to finish in one go.
  • The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer - This one is a sweet romantic retelling with a queer twist. Again i am holding this one for a rainy day, a warm cuddle read.
  • Dark Lord of Derkholm by Diana Wynne Jones - It was only a few weeks back that i came to knew of this novel from the author of Howl's Moving Castle. I do not want to miss on this one.
  • Deerskin by Robin McKinley - I was really reluctant to throw this one in the list since, hurt comfort is not one of the genres that i enjoy. But I do love to try new stuff once in a while.
  • Twig - bei den Himmelspiraten , Twig - im Auge des Sturms and Twig - Fluch Ueber Sanktaphrax by Paul Stewart - Who cares if this was originally meant for kids. Stewart has a good world building and his fantasy world is filled with enough varied Zoology, I am definitely reading Klippenland chroniken  in german.
  • Survivor Dogs Series by Erin Hunter - Again another series i would like to read in german.

So here is my list, Let me see how long before i exhaust them and build another new list.
